What it does

Everything a television interface should do

Built for a remote control rather than a mouse, and for a screen you look at from across the room.

A better live TV guide

See what is on now and what follows, from XMLTV or your Xtream account. Set a reminder from the guide and the television tells you when it starts.

Films and series

Posters, plot and ratings where your playlist provides them. It resumes where you stopped, across both films and episodes.

Your own order

Favourites, hidden channels and custom groups. Sort a group by hand and it stays that way next time.

Profiles for everyone

Each person keeps their own favourites, history and recommendations on the same television.

Parental lock

A PIN and age-based category filtering. A locked category disappears from the lists rather than sitting there marked as blocked.

Set up from your phone

Scan a code on the television and type the address on your phone, instead of spelling it out with the remote.

The experience

It learns the shape of your evening

A playlist is a flat list of thousands of entries. The app turns it into something you can move through.

  • Picks up where you stopped. Films and episodes both, with the series resolved from the episode you were watching.
  • Surfaces what you have not seen. Rows are built from the categories you actually spend time in, ranked by how recent and how well rated the titles are.
  • Keeps the finished apart from the unfinished. One is a list of things to do, the other an archive. Mixing them makes both useless.
  • All of it on the television. That calculation never leaves the device.

Privacy

Your viewing stays yours

Not a promise in a policy but a consequence of how the app is built. Every line below is a design decision you can check in the policy.

  • Your viewing history stays on the television. Recommendations are calculated on the device; the history is not uploaded in readable form.
  • Your playlist password is never sent to us. Added from a phone, it is encrypted there and can only be opened by your television; our server relays a block it cannot read.
  • Your parental PIN never leaves the television, not even inside a backup.
  • Backups are encrypted on the television. The key is a recovery code generated on your device and shown once. Lose it and the backup cannot be opened, by you or by us.
  • No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no cookies.
  • What we do hold: a randomly generated device number and, if you use backup, a block of data we cannot decrypt. Nothing else.

How it works

Three steps, once

You bring the playlist. The app does the rest and remembers it.

1

Have a playlist ready

An M3U address or an Xtream Codes account from your own provider. You need the right to access whatever it contains.

2

Add it to the app

Type the address with the remote, or scan the pairing code with your phone and enter the details there.

3

Use your television

Channels, guide, films and series appear in an interface made for the remote in your hand.

Where to get it

Installed from your television

There is nothing to download from this website. Best IPTV Player is installed from the app store built into your Samsung television, like any other app on it.

1

Open Apps on your TV

Press the Home button on the remote and go to the Apps panel on your Samsung television.

2

Search for the app

Use the search in the Apps panel and look for Best IPTV Player.

3

Install and open

Install it from the store the way you would any other app, then add your own playlist on first run.

Not in the store yet

The app has not been published yet — store certification is in progress. This page is updated as soon as it is live, and the store listing is linked here when there is one. No sign-up, no waiting list: there is nothing to collect from you in the meantime.

Questions

Before you ask

What is Best IPTV Player?
A media player for Samsung Smart TV. It gives the playlists you already have a television interface: a programme guide, posters, favourites, profiles and navigation built for a remote control.
Does it provide channels or films?
No. The app contains no content of any kind and is not affiliated with any content provider. It plays only the playlists you add yourself, and you are responsible for having the right to access what they contain.
Which playlist formats are supported?
M3U playlists and Xtream Codes accounts. An Xtream account generally provides more: category names, a programme guide, and film and series metadata. With an M3U list some of that may be missing, because the list itself does not carry it.
How do I add my playlist?
Two ways. Type the address with the remote, or open the pairing screen on the television, scan the code with your phone and enter the details there. In the second case the details are encrypted on your phone and can only be opened by your television.
Where do I download it?
You do not download anything from this website. The app is installed from the Apps store built into your Samsung television: press Home, open Apps, search for Best IPTV Player and install it there.
Is it free?
It is free to install, and free to use for seven days with every feature unlocked — no card details, nothing to cancel. After that, one purchase inside the app unlocks it. It is paid once, not a subscription, and there is no advertising. The price is shown in the app and in the store listing.
What happens after the seven days?
Your playlists, favourites, history and profiles stay exactly where they are. The app asks you to unlock it before you carry on watching; nothing is deleted and nothing is uploaded. If you unlock it later, you pick up where you left off.
Which Samsung televisions are supported?
It is built for Samsung Tizen televisions and the interface is designed for a 1920×1080 screen. Development testing is done on a 2018 UE55NU8000. The confirmed list of models and Tizen versions comes out of store certification and will be published here once that is complete.
How does it protect my privacy?
What you watch, your favourites and your parental PIN stay on the television, and recommendations are calculated on the device. Backups are encrypted on the television before upload, with a recovery code only you hold. There is no advertising and no advertising identifiers. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
How do I get support?
By e-mail. The address is in the footer and in the privacy policy.
